EROTICIDE Trailer Explores The Kinky Side Of Horror

To paraphrase that famous Seinfeld moment, it moved a little bit.

With his contribution to the anthology Frankenstein Unlimited (“Dark Lotus”) and his more recent Amy’s In The Attic among them, Canadian filmmaker Matthew Saliba has paved a niche in the erotic horror category with his high concept, sexually charged short films. He’s back at it again with the upcoming short Eroticide, the trailer of which is embedded above.

Concerning the relationship between a married couple and the husband’s dominatrix (Lisa Di Capa), Eroticide promises to explore kinky fetishes and just what goes on in a submissive’s mind as he does his best to please his mistress here. This looks as far removed from the kink-lite 50 Shades stuff most folks who have a passing notion of what goes D/s as one can get, as Saliba has demonstrated multiple times that he can create a beautiful, intriguing film that illuminates the fantasies we don’t talk about in polite company, or even our lifelong partners more often than not. It’s an eroticism that can get under the skin and unnerve the viewer, because more often than not they feel turned on despite themselves.  It’s only a trailer, but Di Capa’s performance looks to be the highlight, as she perfectly captures the sneering, can’t be pleased dominatrix that has her submissive charge completely under her thumb.

Eroticide makes its world premiere later this fall, and we’ll have a full review and Boston area screening date soon as well. In the meantime, break out the lube and flogger and check out the teaser above.
